Advice from Barbara:
There are two good airports from which to choose.

The most used one, with the most airlines and connections is Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood (FLL). That's where I fly in and out of on United. It's 30 minutes by car from the FLL airport to the hotel. Uber works well and costs approximately $30-35 for a shared or single ride. Taxis would be double that. One more choice is a free bus from the FLL airport to the Tri-rail train station, about five minutes on the bus, then the train to Hillsboro Beach Station which costs $5. And the an Uber to the hotel, which is less than 10 minutes.

The other airport which is the same distance, but directly north, is Palm Beach International (PBI) Uber covers that airport as well. There is reliable public transportation, but if you want to sight see, then I would suggest a car or to use tri-rail and Uber.
